Dynamite Drums
Vol #1
(MIDI Version)
This directory and the 520 MIDI sequences have been sequenced and produced
by Kevan R.Craft of MIDICraft, Compositions and Arrangements. MIDICraft's
Dynamite Drums are in GM format (General MIDI Standard with drums
transmitted on MIDI Channel 10), The MIDICraft Dynamite Drums are
compatible with the IBM PC and compatibles and the Atari
ST/STE/Falcon and Apple MAC computer platforms. Moreover, MIDICraft
Dynamite Drums Vol #1 .MID files are also compatible for hardware based
sequencers, keyboards and workstations with MIDI sequencer facilities..
The MIDICraft Dynamite Drums Vol#1 contains over 260 sequences of
traditional drumming genre styles and originally came as a separate disk
containing .MID files for each drumming riff and break for each genre
style. The 260 MIDI drumming sequences also comes as separate .MID
files for each genre style to facilitate easy loading into
whichever MIDI music software package you employ, this means that all files
are doubled and make a grand total of over 520 MIDI drumming
sequences. You can load a .MID file, of say 'Rock' drumming sequences
and examine each sequence from within your MIDI sequencer. OR, you can
boot-up your sequencer and then load each individual drum sequence
as .MID file to aid composition and arrangment of your MIDI music
on your sequencer. The MIDICraft Dynamite Drums may be likened
to 'Clips' to facilitate 'cut and paste' features in your seqencer. The
data is drum sequences and drum GM MIDI Files in MIDI format 1
transmitted on the Roland GM/GS standard Channel 10. ( A Roland GM/GS Drum
map document has been included in the directory for your reference.)

The Breaks are drum rolls in that particular style also 1 bar in 16 beat
The directory also contains a few variations on some of the themes of
drumming styles which totals over 520 MIDI drum sequences for the
Amiga, PC, Atari and Apple MAC computers together with hardware based
sequencers, keyboards and workstations which possess MIDI sequencer
facilities..
The basic idea of how to use the MIDICraft Dynamite Drums is simply
load a required style of drumming as either a separate .Seq file or
.MID file into your MIDI sequencer and then CUT and PASTE the desired
drum sequence to fill the space provided by the composition. When a
'Break' or drum roll is required, simply load in a drum break which
possess the right 'feel' and of your own choice. Again, you may also
repeat this procedure with the 10 'Ending' drum sequences provided.
Obviously, feel free to modify the MIDI Drum patterns provided on
this MIDICraft Dynamic Drums Vol#1 to suit your taste, inspiration
and compositions etc. They constitute a solid and efficent base of
current rhythms from which you can work.
NOTE:
[All the .MID files contained within MIDICraft Dynamite Drums Vol #1 will
be compatable for any MIDI sequencer on any computer platform
(Amiga/PC/Atari and Apple MAC and or hardware based synthesizer with a MIDI
file import feature (either from the CDROM, via MIDI/SYSEX or copied from
the CDROM to an approriate floppy disk. As the majority of International
synthesizer manuafactures have created a standard employing 3.5 inch floppy
based diskdrives on their hardware using MSDOS formatting/reading
facilities then the MIDICraft Dynamite DrumsVol #1 files can also be ported
to your hardware from the CD ROM to a formatted MSDOS disk using this
method also..]
